Famed Sir Norman Rosenthal, British curator and art historian, takes us through art world heavyweight Georg Baselitz’s impressive series of 8 large-scale paintings exhibited at the Arsenale, Venice Biennale 2015.
The series of paintings titled “Fällt von der Wand nicht” each depicting a naked, upside-down figure against a black background (Baselitz self-portraits), deals with Baselitz’s wartime experiences as a young man.
